Timber Hot Tub Dosing Weekly Dosage

NOTE: 60ml MEASURE CUP IS PROVIDED.

NEW HOT TUBS will foam and water will appear light brown, due to tannin from wood. The water is sanitised, scoop foam from top of water.

Please allow 2 – 3 water changes for crystal clear water.

Enviro Spa - Spa as Nature Intended

Weekly Dosages.

(2 Measure Cups per 1000 litres of Water)

If pH reading is lower than 7.6, dose spa with pH Raiser. 2 measure cups per 1000lt.

NOTES

To prevent cloudy water, always ensure booster is present in water before using spa.

If water is cloudy during the following weeks, remove and clean the spa filter. This happens sometimes with new spas as the lines clear.

Then dose 2 measure cups of Enviro Spa Booster powder and 5ml of Enviro Spa Clarifier, remove and thoroughly clean filter again.

Clean Spa Filter weekly.

Spas need a mid-week dose of Enviro Spa Booster.

Test spa with test tablets 3 days after dosing. If Booster level is 3.0, add usual dose Booster, If Booster level is below, double dose Booster.

Clear = double dose Booster, pale pink =  normal dose rate.

IMPORTANT

Remove a bucket of water weekly and replace with fresh water to avoid build up of minerals and chemicals.

TESTING SPA WATER

Test tablets and solution are available from Enviro Spa

TO BALANCE THE WATER, TEST SPA MID WEEK

• Rinse and fill both cylinders with spa water.
• Place 5 drops of PHENOL RED solution into the cylinder marked pH, replace the lid.
• Drop test tablet marked ‘Hydrogen Peroxide LR’ in the other test cylinder.
• Replace lid and shake, wait until Booster tablet has completely dissolved.

pH TEST:

• If reading is below ‘Ideal’ 7.6, add pH Raiser – 2 x 30ml measure cups per 1,000 litres.
• Retest pH the following day and if it hasn’t risen enough, add another dose of pH Raiser.

BOOSTER TEST:

• When the tablet has dissolved, the sample will slowly turn pink if Booster is present.
• If the test colour is light pink, add a normal dose of Booster (see blue Weekly Dosage card for amount according to spa water volume).
• If the test is clear, add a DOUBLE dose of Booster. This will drop the pH, so add a single dose of pH Raiser according to the dose rate for your spa water volume.
• The Booster test colour needs to be maintained at dark pink (5) to prevent cloudy water.

Most spas require a twice weekly dose of BOOSTER powder.
